Methodology

How points
are awarded

§ 01 · The formula

How a result is scored

Placement Points×DUPR mult.=Final

Your points for a result depend on where you finished, the tournament's tier and the bracket's skill restriction. Winning an open bracket at a Pro Series event earns the full 1,200 points in the matrix. Winning an Advanced (DUPR-capped) bracket at the same event earns fewer points because of the multiplier. Age-restricted brackets are not reduced. They have their own leaderboards (see §04).

§ 03 · DUPR bands

Skill-band multipliers

A bracket capped at a lower DUPR does not include the full field, so its points are multiplied down.

  • Beginner ≤ 2.5 ×0.01
  • Novice 2.5–3.0 ×0.03
  • Intermediate 3.0–3.5 ×0.1
  • Advanced 3.5–4.0 ×0.3
  • Advanced+ 4.0–4.5 ×0.5
  • Semi-Pro 4.5–5.0 ×0.7
  • Open Open ×1

§ 04 · Age-separated rankings

Age-band leaderboards

A category's age restriction routes the result to its own leaderboard. An Open result lands on the Open board; a 35–49 result lands on the 35–49 board. There is no multiplier penalty.

§ 05 · Counting rules

Best 8 over 52 weeks

Rolling Window

Only events finishing within the last 52 weeks count. Older events fall off automatically.

Your top 8 finishes in each category sum to your ranking total. Playing more never hurts.
